I have been playing keyboards professionally for several years doing anything from church organ and cocktail piano to playing in bands that span many different genres: pop cover music, afrobeat, funk, salsa, jazz, rock, and original music in an experimental rock and jazz group. Custom designing the content of lessons to the needs/desires of my individual students, I teach everything from classical technique and reading music to music theory to jazz and rock performance to improvisation as a concept independent of "genre." In addition to instructing performers, I also lend my experience as a composer and arranger to those interested in writing/transcribing music.
